Connective City Live

Archive and Background

Background

Connective City 2036, the City’s Local Strategic Planning Statement is now available.

Canterbury-Bankstown is in the heart of greater Sydney and a City of more than 360,000 people which is projected to grow to 500,000 people in the next 20 years.

A City of this scale needs a sophisticated, considered plan to guide how it will grow and change – a plan that brings together all the critical elements that make a city and build an even greater place.

Connective City 2036 will create opportunities for the people who live and work in the City. It focuses on better quality of, and access to, transport options, protection and enhancement of environmental areas and precious waterways, and a commitment to vibrant centres and quality suburbs.

Connective City 2036 includes priorities and actions to achieve this vision for the City.

Printed copies of the plan can be viewed at the Bankstown Customer Service Centre.
